University of Louisville Section Goals

These goals have been written and approved by our executive board.  They were developed based on and in reflection of the Society of Women Engineer's goals at large.  To view the society's goals click: here.  The events and activities that our section participates in relate back to the goals listed below.

Professional Growth

Encourage the professional growth of all members by hosting guest speakers and workshops and by creating leadership and networking opportunities.

Outreach

Advocate for the next generation of engineers by partnering with schools, clubs and programs for students not yet in college and demonstrating the opportunities for women in engineering.

Diversity

Promote a diverse community by supporting and participating with other organizations and providing support to women of all different backgrounds including but not limited to economic, racial, family status, sexual orientation, age, physical abilities, etc.

Organization & Communication

Provide members with information in a clear and timely manner.  Creating a point of contact for events and promoting events appropriately to ensure success within our chapter.
